Visiting The Petoskey Golf Center

Friday afternoon, I stopped in at the Petoskey Golf Center, which is just off US 31 to the east of the city.

I’ve passed by the store on numerous occasions, but was nearly always on a “mission” so I never stopped. Friday, I had several stops to make in Petoskey, so I made the golf center one of them.

Owner Erik Schleicher has a nice setup there. The shop has a decent supply of clubs, balls and accessories at reasonable prices. I very nearly bought a Ping Four Wood.

The facility also has three simulator bays and a small putting green.

Schleicher offers a variety of services, including lessons (he was giving one when I was there), custom club fitting and club repair, including regripping, shaft repairs, loft and lie adjustments and swing weighting.

Prices for all of those on the rates sheets were very reasonable.

Schleichter told me that sometime this winter, the Petoskey Golf Center is moving to a new, and larger facility just around the corner.
